WEATHER DELAYS ELEPHANT RIBBON CUTTING!
-- Opening of Cheyenne Mountain Zoo’s Encounter Africa moved to FRIDAY, May 3 --
April 30, 2013, Colorado Springs, CO – Cheyenne Mountain Zoo’s elephants will have to wait a few days longer to cut the ribbon on their new Encounter Africa exhibit. The weather for tomorrow is taking a turn for the worse and our pachyderms cannot be outside unless it is over 40 degrees.
Please join us FRIDAY, MAY 3 at 10 a.m. for what will (still) be the media event of the year! We hope this change of plans will be better weather for the elephants and for your media equipment!
