Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is committed to being green at every opportunity—even with the cups, plates and utensils we provide to our guests! Supplied by Ecoware, many of our eatery products are compostable or recyclable. When you visit the Zoo, you might:
- Use cups and utensils made from corn.
They look like their regular plastic counterparts, but they are made from compostable PLA plastic that is derived from U.S. grown corn—and will naturally decompose back to organic elements.
- Eat off of plates made from 100% sugarcane fibers.
These plates are also naturally biodegrades when composted.
When you eat at the Zoo, you can enjoy your meal knowing that the Zoo is thinking about the environment!
