Highlights of Teddy Bear Day

Activities
  • Stop by the TEDDY BEAR CLINIC at Lodge at Moose Lake for a FREE stuffed animal “check-up.” Each stuffed animal’s overall condition is officially recorded and they will receive a signed certificate of “Beary Good Health.”
  • Volunteers from Children’s Hospital Colorado will be here to administer stitches, splints or any necessary “medical” procedures to stuffed animals that are in need of a little TLC. The clinic is a great way for kids to familiarize themselves with the health care community and what they can expect if they need to visit a doctor, hospital or dentist.
  • Additional activities for kids at Lodge at Moose Lake, including the opportunity to meet some of the Zoo’s hands-on Animal Ambassadors.
  • All-day experiences include:
    – giraffe, budgie and chicken feeding experiences
    – Animal-care demonstrations, as scheduled
    – Keeper talks & demos (often medical-themed for Teddy Bear Day)
    – Domestic goat, elephant and rhino up-close guest experiences, as scheduled
(Look for a complete Animal Happenings Schedule here closer to the event.)
