A Wild Summer Experience.

Cheyenne Mountain Zoo offers summer camp adventures that share the wonders of wildlife and wild places in fun and exciting ways. Campers meet animals up close, explore the outdoors, interact with zookeepers, make treats for the animals, design cool crafts and more!

Full Day Camps - with an overnight

(Ages 6-15)

Campers will love the many fun-filled camps offered Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with a Thursday optional overnight starting at 7 p.m. on Thursday night and finishing at noon on Friday! (There is no camp during the day on Thursday for overnight camps). Those who do not want to attend the overnight may still attend the half-day program on Friday. Camp programs are listed below in ascending order by age, from youngest to oldest.

African Safari (Ages 6-10)
Session 16 - August 9-13

Travel from the Sahara to the savannah to the rainforest and discover lots of animals. We’ll see naked-mole rats, elephants and, of course, giraffes!

Wild Adventures (Ages 6-10)
Session 16 - August 9-13

Journey into Rocky Mountain Wild and discover amazing animals that may live in your own backyard.

Dates & Times

Session dates are as posted above.

Camp runs Monday - Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with an optional overnight starting at 7 p.m. on thursday and finishing at noon on Friday! Those who do not want to attend the overnight may still attend the half-day program on Friday.

Cost

Full-day camp fees include a t-shirt, group photo and special summer camp cup.Sign up for more than one session and receive a 10% discount on additional sessions!

Members: $161.25 per child
Non-members: $171.25 per child

Note: 25 cents a day from each camp registration goes to Quarters for Conservation, which expands Cheyenne Mountain Zoo's regional and global conservation efforts.

Half Day Camp

(Ages 4-6)

Created for younger campers, our half-day camps run Monday through Friday, and you may select morning or afternoon times offered.

Big and Small (Ages 4-6)
Session 16 - August 9-13 (AM Sesssion only is offered, M-F)

Animals come in all different sizes. We’ll compare the smallest creatures to the biggest of beasts!


Dates & Times

Mondays through Fridays;
Select from morning camp that runs 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. or afternoon camp that runs from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Cost

Camp fees include a t-shirt, a cup and a group picture.

Members: $61.25 per child
Non-members: $71.25 per child

Let "Camp Care" entertain your child before and after summer camp.

Extended Care
Session 5 - June 7-11
Session 7 - June 21-25
Session 9 - July 5-9
Session 13 - July 19-23
Session 15 - August 2-6

Extended Care is offered before and after camp only during the above camp sessions throughout the summer.

Times - drop off & pick-up

Pre-care: drop off between 7:45 a.m. - 8 a.m.
Post-care: pick-up between 5:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Cost

Pre-care: $35 per child
Post-care: $60 per child
Pre- and post-care for the entire week: $85 per child

Sign-up for Extended Care using either the online or mail-in registration form.

Scholarships - Closed for 2010

Help a child attend a Cheyenne Mountain Zoo camp by making a donation of $5 or more. Simply note your donation on your registration form—and make a child's camp wishes come true. Application deadline for Summer Scholarship Form submission is May 1, 2010.

Refunds

Can't make it to camp? Just send us a written refund request at least two weeks before the camp's start date. We will refund your camp fee, less a $25 non-refundable administration fee. Sorry, no refunds will be given within two weeks of the camp's start date.
