Eagle Scouts

Better Yourself While Bettering Our Zoo.

We're always looking for enthusiastic and intelligent scouts to help with various projects. It's a great way to serve your community and help the Zoo! This extremely unique opportunity allows you to work with Zoo staff on projects that better the life of animals at the Zoo, and often has an educational message at the same time. Projects can be developed two ways:

Staff Generated Projects

Zoo staff generates an ongoing list of possible projects available to Boy Scouts to take on as their Eagle Award Projects. The length of time it takes to complete projects and technical involvement of each project varies.

Proposed Boy Scout Projects

The Zoo welcomes and encourages project proposals from Boy Scouts seeking their Eagle Award. The feasibility of project proposals will be judged on a case-by-case basis to determine whether or not the project will benefit to the Zoo, the community and whether it falls within Cheyenne Mountain Zoo guidelines.
