Cheyenne Mountain Zoo invites world class runners and families alike to join in the Run to the Shrine on Saturday, May 22, 2010. Both the 5K and the 10K options curve through the Zoo and some of the most stunning mountain scenery this side of the Rockies. The races conclude at the world class event venue, The Lodge at Moose Lake!
A great opportunity for competitive racers, casual walkers, as well as families and children eager to show their enthusiasm for the Zoo, the Run to the Shrine offers the coveted opportunity to traverse Shrine Road via foot while knowing that this is the one time of the year when foot traffic is allowed.
Scheduled for Saturday, May 22, 2010, the 10K run and 5K jog/run/walk begin at 7:00 am and 7:05 am respectively. Team relay races begin at 8:30 am. Awards and activities for the entire family will follow in the renowned Lodge at Moose Lake at 9:00 am. See the schedule of events and awards sections below for further details.
Registration includes FREE ADMISSION to Cheyenne Mountain Zoo on May 22, 2010. Those not participating in the run must pay
Zoo admission to enter the Zoo on event day.

On Run Day
Register in person on Run Day, May 22, 2010 from 6-6:45am at Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. T-shirts cannot be guaranteed to participants who register on run day. Entry fee is $40 on day of event.

Attention Relay Teams!
Stampede to the Shrine with your friends and co-workers!
To register a Relay Team of Four for the event, each team member must complete the 2010 Cheyenne Mountain Zoo Official Run Registration Form.
- Individuals can register for only one team.
- Team payment of $100 must be submitted with a completed waiver/release/registration form for each team member.
- Each leg of the race is 3/4 mile in length.
Relay Team Registration deadline: Thursday, May 20, 2010, 5pm.
There is no online registration for Relay teams.
Winning Relay Team takes Relay Team Award and bragging rights.

Rules, Regulations and FAQ's
Jog/Run/Walk participants will be timed individually based on participating age catagories.
Only registered participants permitted on run course. If not participating in the run, regular Zoo admission is required.
For the safety of all participants we do not allow skate boards, roller blades/inline skates/Heely’s®, bicycles or pets on the run course.
All fees are non-refundable.
Your cancelled check or email confirmation page will serve as your receipt.
The race fee is not tax deductible but any additional donations are tax deductible.
Run T-shirts cannot be guaranteed to those who register on race day.
Pre-race and relay registration closes Thursday, May 20, 2010 at 5:00 p.m.
