Winter WildLand Puts "Festive" into the Holidays!
Make enrichment gifts for your favorite animals while mingling with Santa (or Jack Frost after Dec. 23) near the Loft. Then accompany him as he delivers your gifts to the animals. (The times and locations of Santa’s (or Jack Frost's) delivery schedule are posted throughout the Zoo). At each stop, he and a zookeeper will share a story about the animal receiving the gift. What a great opportunity to learn more about your favorite animals as you watch them tear into their presents!
What kind of yummy goodies will you be making that our critter friends will savor? Santa’s elves will help you assemble animal treats with ingredients like cereal and fruit. No worries, all ingredients have been approved by the Zoo’s animal department.
Take in the thousands of holiday lights from the Mountaineer Sky Ride or experience their beauty firsthand while walking through the Zoo. You’ll be delighted by the Gingerbread Yurt, special lighting displays and treats that await you at the top at Santa’s Summit! Meet Mrs. Claus, write a letter to Santa or decorate cookies in the Gingerbread Yurt!
