Hours of Operation

Open 7 days a week. 365 days a year!

Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is open all year round and welcomes visitors to explore and enjoy the animals. Be sure to check specific hours of operation as they change from season to season and on holidays. And remember, the last admission is always one hour prior to closing.

Summer Months (Memorial Day weekend - Labor Day)
9 a.m.- 6 p.m.

All Other Months
9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Holiday Hours
Thanksgiving Day: 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. (last admission at 3 p.m.)
Christmas Eve: 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. (last admission at 3 p.m.) (No Winter WildLand)
Christmas Day: 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. (last admission at 3 p.m.) (Winter WildLand begins at 5:30 p.m.)
New Year's Day and all other holidays: Normal hours

Note: The Will Rogers Shrine is closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Day.

Special Event Hours
From time to time we offer special events at the Zoo that require us to close early to set up.

Boo at the Zoo.
During select October weekends, the Zoo will close at 4 p.m. and reopen for Boo at the Zoo at 5:30 p.m. (A separate admission fee is charged for Boo at the Zoo.)

Winter WildLand.
During many December evenings, the Zoo will close at 5 p.m. and reopen for Winter WildLand at 5:30 p.m. (A separate admission fee is charged for Winter WildLand.)
