Habitat: is typically found in rocky cliffs and canyons in the volcanic areas, grasslands, savannas and arid deserts of eastern Africa.

Characteristics: Also known as a beaver-tailed agama due to its spiny beaver-like tail, this is a small, muscular lizard.To blend with their surroundings, their coloring is brown with light-brown or yellowish spots. Males show bright blue under the mouth and neck area when they want to impress a female or warn other males.
