Maintenance Technician
Cheyenne Mtn Zoo is seeking a full time Maintenance Technician to join
our team. This is a full time, benefited position. Weekends
and evening hours until 9:00 p.m. will be required. Successful candidates
will have 5 + years of experience in the Maintenance field, be self-motivated,
and possess a can-do attitude. Experience with plumbing, electric,
carpentry, painting, and/or construction preferred. The Maintenance
Department is responsible for the overall day-to-day operation of the Zoo
including maintaining infrastructure, snow removal, repairs, construction
of in-house exhibits, and responding to both routine work order and emergency
repairs. Other duties as required. Please refer to the official
job description for more details. This position reports to the
Director of Operations and Maintenance Supervisor.

Emergency Medical Technician/ Maintenance Technician
Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is looking for seasonal personnel to work as
Emergency Medical Technicians beginning May 1, 2008 – September 1, 2008.
Position hours are from 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Candidates seeking
either full time or part time status are encouraged to apply; 2-3 day shifts
may be possible; weekends and holidays will be required. When not engaged
in the Emergency Medical Technician function, this position will work as
part of the Zoo’s maintenance staff. Primary Function: The EMT will
act as the first responder for all routine, intermediate and emergency
calls on zoo grounds. This position is responsible for providing efficient
and immediate care to visitors in need of medical attention from basic
first aid to emergency medical response. Secondary Function: When not engaged
in EMT function this position will assist the Maintenance Department with
in-house projects, work orders, and infrastructure upkeep. Experience as
a handyman, carpentry or painting is a plus. Other duties as assigned.
Successful candidates must possess a valid Colorado Emergency Medical Technician
– EMT-B or be NREMT certified, a CPR certificate, and a valid Colorado
Drivers License. Certification to teach CPR/First Aid preferred.
