The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is a great place to have your special event...and a safe place for family fun. The best part is that Wildthings Catering, the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo's official caterer, will do all the planning work for you! Just let us know what menu and services you would like, and we will make all the arrangements. Our expert catering staff will create the perfect menu, and arrange any rentals for you. Nestled on the side of Cheyenne Mountain, this meeting and event facility is centrally located within the Zoo and offers stunning views of Colorado Springs to the east and the surrounding mountains to the west. The Lodge has set-ups that stress flexibility, with the interior capable of being split into three separate event areas or combined into one grand hall of over 4,200 sq. feet that accommodates 250-300 for dinner. And with an imaginative design that features front wall doors that can swing up and open, warm weather dining can increase to more than 300 people. State-of-the-art audio-visual capabilities, wireless internet access, and an on-site catering kitchen gives The Lodge at Moose Lake the advantage of versatility for events ranging from corporate meetings and company picnics to receptions, family gatherings and black tie affairs.

Professional Clowns - $150.00 Per Clown for 1.5 Hours
Clowns are great with children and adults, bring interactive games, improvise like nothing else!

Give-aways - Safari Pith helmets, cowboy hats, and binoculars are just a few give-aways that can make unique party favors for your guests.

Antique Carousel - $2.00 Per Person
Nestled in a wonderful mountain setting, the newly refurbished antique carousel has given people of all ages a great ride of fun since 1937.

Zoo Tram - $1.00 Per Person
Our tram will assist your guests with getting up and down the mountain. The tram is wheelchair and stroller accessible. It completes a loop of the Zoo about every fifteen minutes. It has seven different stops.

Shongololo Choo Choo - $1.00 Per Person
The children’s Shongololo Choo Choo train gives young children an opportunity to enjoy a ride with a view of the Zoo and Colorado Springs.

Elephant or Hippo Demo - Please Call For Special Pricing
Wow! your guests with a personal elephant or hippo demo from one of our professional zoo keepers! Give them something to talk about for days!

Thunder God Snack & Gift Shop
Located just behind the admission gate entrance at the Zoo this shop offers apparel, film, books, and gifts along with breakfast, sandwiches, salads, popcorn, pretzels, and ice cream. Stroller and wagons may be rented here in the Winter.

Safari Cafe
Open during the Summer season in the African Rift Valley. Offering pizza, hot-dogs, ice cream, sno cones and more! Outdoor seating only.

Colobus Cafe and Patio
Also a Summer seasonal restaurant with air-conditioned indoor seating and outdoor deck seating.
Offering pizza, burgers, fries, onion rings, salads, ice cream and more!

Outdoor seating is also located at various locations around the Zoo for picnic eating.

Strollers, Wagons, and Wheelchairs
Strollers, wagons, and wheelchairs are available for rent at the Stroller hut, just past the Thunder God Gift shop.
$5.00 for a single stroller or wagon, $8.00 for double strollers and $10.00 for wheelchairs. No deposit required.

Public Phones
Public phones are located outside of the Zoo entry on the east side of the parking lot.

Guidelines
A Special Event Guidelines form will be given to you when considering The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo for your special event. This guideline will explain what is and is not permitted at the Zoo for the safety of our animals, personnel, and guests.

Pricing & Contract Information -

• Prices listed are subject to proportionate changes in market conditions. 7.40% sales tax and 18% recommended service charge will be added to food and beverage items on the total bill.
• Liquor, beer and wine may not be brought into the Zoo from outside sources.
• All guests are required to have on their person a meal ticket or wrist band for daytime events.  This is solely to insure you that un-authorized guests do not partake in your event.
• A deposit of 100% of the estimated total is due upon receipt of the Event Agreement and can be made with checks or credit cards. We accept Visa, Master card, Discover, and American Express.  If a deposit is not received prior to the event, the event is considered canceled, and no services will be rendered.
• The catering department must receive a signed contract detailing all arrangements at least one month prior to the event.  It is vital that the catering sales office be notified of the guaranteed number of guests attending the function at least 5 business days before the event.  This is the official guaranteed number for which you will be billed, even if fewer guests attend.  We will, however, prepare for 5% above this figure to allow for last minute additions.

“Hosted Beer & Wine Bar” (beer and wine only)
A “host” full bar in which beer and wine are free to your guests can be made available for a rate of  $9.95 Per Adult, not including tax & gratuity charge, for a three hour period of time. Additional hours may be added for $2.00 Per Adult, per hour not including tax & gratuity. A bartender fee of $75 will apply for groups under 50 guests.

“Cash Bar” (may be beer, wine, and mixed drinks or beer and wine only)
A “cash” bar in which your guests purchase beer wine and mixed drinks can be made available for your guests. A bartender fee of $75.00 per bartender will apply.  Cash bars also require a set-up fee of $225.00.  If sales at the bar exceed this, the fee will be dropped.
