Donations are our lifeline. As one of only a handful of zoos in the United States that does not receive any local or regional tax support to operate, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo relies solely on donations, membership dues and Zoo-generated revenue. And because membership dues and Zoo-generated revenue only make up about 30% of the Zoo's general operating budget annually, donations are vital.
Through the generosity and commitment of people like you, donations help with animal care, feeding and other services and programs for the people of the Pikes Peak region and beyond.
All donations are tax deductible as allowed by law. Donations and financial support are particularly important to Cheyenne Mountain Zoo as we are a non-profit, public trust of the citizens of Colorado Springs.
