November 6, 2015, Colorado Springs, CO – Cheyenne Mountain Zoo’s Electric Safari will celebrate 25 years of holiday cheer starting December 4 – 6 with a preview weekend and continuing December 11 – January 1 (closed Christmas Eve). The event will run each night from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. (the last admission sold at 7:30 p.m.). And Santa Claus will be taking holiday wishes each night through December 23.

During Electric Safari, the Zoo will be lighting the place up with more twinkling lights than you can count – more than 50 acres worth! Add 85 light sculptures and the select animal exhibits that will be open, and it’s sure to be memorable. Top off this astounding display by gazing out at the city’s lights and watch all of Colorado Springs sparkle.

Electric Safari nights are wild – boasting special animal keeper talks all 24 nights, and select animal exhibits will be open, including the giraffe barn, Encounter Africa, Aquatics, Rocky Mountain Wild (except grizzlies), Asian Highlands, Monkey Pavilion, Scutes Family Gallery, The Loft and, new this year, Australia Walkabout!

Guests can take a break between seeing animals and enjoying the lights to warm up by one of the warming fires located throughout the Zoo, or they can stop into the Grizzly Grill for a sweet treat and a warm cup of joe or hot cocoa (available for purchase).
