Annual Sage Grouse Display – April 20 – 24, 2026

Visit Southern Wyoming and Northern Colorado on an excursion to observe the captivating annual courtship behavior of the Greater Sage Grouse. This excursion also highlights local natural areas such as lakes, prairies, and more.

TRIP DETAILS:

– Dates: Monday, April 20 – Thursday, April 24, 2026
– Cost: $1250 per person / $2100 per pair (sharing bed)
– Transportation: included
– Meals not included in cost.
– Adults only (18+)
– Moderate hike & picnic (included with cost) in Medicine Bow National Forest.
– Tour of Wyoming Toad breeding facility in Laramie, Wyoming.
– View Greater Sage Grouse Lek in North Park, CO (early morning start).
– Visit the Fort Collins Museum of Discovery and hear from an expert on Black Footed Ferret recovery efforts.
– Full itinerary provided with registration.

ACCOMODATIONS:

All are local properties, rated 4 stars and above.
• 2 nights at a Bed & Breakfast in Laramie, Wyoming (multiple bedroom house shared with other program participants).
• 1 night at hotel in Walden, Colorado (separate rooms).
• 1 night at a hotel in Fort Collins, Colorado (separate rooms).

Each registration supports funding to provide free classroom programming for schools in our local community.
