Group/Scout WildNight Pricing

Peak Season runs Fridays & Saturdays, April 1 – Sept 1
Regular Season – all other times

Peak Season:
– Members per person $80.75
– Non-members per person $90.75
– Chaperones (1:10 ratio) $55.75
Regular Season:
– Members per person $70.75
– Non-members per person $80.75
– Chaperones (1:10 ratio) $50.75

School Group Pricing

All school groups will be booked at a discounted rate. Thank you to all our fellow educators!

Students/Adults: $55.75 per person
Chaperones: One (1) adult chaperone per 10 kids is required, cost is $40.75 per chaperone

Payments

– The first 50% (half) payment for your group is due one month prior to your WildNight program. Please make sure at the time of your half payment to reserve shirts, cots, and patches if your group is interested.
– Final payment for your group is due 10 days prior to your WildNight program. Final payment includes all food, shirts, cots, and patch reservations.
– Please note: It is your responsibility to call and arrange for payment on or before the due dates. We reserve the right to cancel a registered program due to lack of timely payments.

Safety & Rules

Rules

We follow a three-warning system during WildNights, the Zoo reserves the right to call home/emergency contacts at any point in the program and ask that a child be picked up and removed from the program. Our warning system is outlined below:

Verbal warning from the program mentor, and suggestions on making better choices.
Verbal warning and possible removal from the activity.
Removal from activity and call home.

If the behavior continues after three warnings a call home will be made. In some situations, we may ask the child to be picked up from the Zoo. All guardians are obligated to pick up their child if/when a mentor calls to request to send home a child, and they must be picked up within 1 hour of the phone call.

Safety

This is the foremost consideration for all WildNight programs. Participants will be given program rules upon arrival and are expected to follow these rules during their entire stay at the Zoo. For everyone’s safety, we reserve the right to end the program for the individual/group if the rules are not respected. Please remember that there may be other programs or special events going on in the Zoo during your child’s visit, courtesy and respect for all participants are essential to the success of these programs.

The Zoo is VERY dark at ight. Please wear good walking shoes and bring a flashlight or headlamp.

Group Arrival and Departure

Your group will be met promptly at 6:50 p.m. at the Zoo front gate and taken to the building space reserved for your group.
– Please have waivers signed and ready to go to turn into staff.
– If you are going to be late, please make an effort to contact the EdVenture Administrative Assistant at 719-424-7827 prior to 5 p.m. If you need to call after 5 p.m. on the day of your program please call the WildNight Program Supervisor at 719-424-7822 and leave a voicemail with your estimated time of arrival and a phone number that Zoo staff can use to return your phone call.

The program will conclude at 9 a.m. the following day. Your group may stay in the Zoo after the program is completed free of charge. Any additional guests that were not paid for in the WildNight reservation must pay regular admission to enter the Zoo. Guests will receive a Zoo stamp on their hands before exiting the Zoo, and those stamps can be shown to the admissions booth staff for re-entry the Zoo (valid only day of WildNight).

Program Schedule

7 p.m. – Zoo staff will meet you at the front gate to sign you in and collect waivers

7:15 p.m. – We will enjoy a sit down pizza party dinner. After dinner we will head outside to roast s’mores over a charcoal grill. Alternative dessert will be available if weather doesn’t allow us to have a fire.

8 p.m. – Evening tour will begin!
During your evening we will explore at least 3 buildings:
– Elephant Barn
– Giraffe Barn – feed the giraffe
– The Loft – meet and touch an animal ambassador
– Waters Edge: Africa

9:30 p.m. – Wind down and bedtime

7:30 a.m. – Wake up, pack up and grab breakfast for an on the go tour

8:15 a.m. – Morning tour of either Primate World or Rocky Mountain Wild exhibit

9 a.m. – WildNight concludes and you are welcome to stay in the Zoo after you have cleared out the building. Staff will walk to the front gates so you can drop belongings off in vehicles. You will receive a pass from your WildNight Guide that allows you back into the Zoo.

Program Add-Ons

For an additional cost the following may be provided:

– Extra pizza – $20 per pizza (sausage, cheese, veggie or pepperoni, gluten friendly)

– Fruit and/or vegetable tray for any meal – $4 per person

– Catered breakfast:

-$9 per person (assorted fruit tray, yogurt, granola, coffee, pastries, fresh orange juice)

-$9 per person breakfast burritos (meat and veggie options available)

– Extra animal ambassador – $35 (Loft animal collection only)

– Longer building rental (space and time dependent) – $50 an hour

– Golf cart rental – $20 (Driven by Zoo staff only, seats 5, only 1 cart)

– Cots – Sleep comfortably in our fold-out cots. They are $5.00 each and save you the hassle of carrying sleeping pads or air mattresses up the hill. This option is for adults only and there are a limited supply; please reserve them ahead of time. If purchased the night of, cash or check is acceptable. No credit cards the night of will be accepted.

– Mats – These are for all ages! They are only $3.00 each and save you the hassle of carrying your own sleeping pads or air mattresses up the hill. There are a limited supply; please reserve them ahead of time. If purchased the night of, cash or check is acceptable. No credit cards the night of will be accepted.
