Public Relations & Social Media Manager

Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is seeking an exceptional candidate for the position of Public Relations and Social Media Manager in the Marketing Department. This candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of relevant public relations experience. Candidate must also have a demonstrated familiarity and ability to plan and execute business-related social media campaigns. Candidate must be an extremely organized multi-tasker with strong documentation skills. Candidate must also be an unbridled optimist and a self-starter who can work with minimal supervision. A successful candidate in this position will have a insatiable curiosity about what others are doing around the Zoo, and have a passion to inform our guests and the community about their work. Summer Camp Mentor

Summer Camp Mentors take a leading role in environmental education for toddlers through 12th graders in the Zoo’s overnights, birthday parties, early childhood programs, zoo tours, zoo camp and other programs. The goal of these programs is to instill and foster a lifelong love for nature and animals as well as introduce or develop lifelong passions for activities that tie youth directly to wildlife and/or wild places. Through live animal presentations, games, crafts and Zoo hikes, mentors will help children to teenagers to provide a link between people and nature and meet these program goals. Summer Camp Mentors must be able to start on May 17th. Camp runs through August 9th, 2017.

Maintenance Team Manager

The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is seeking a strong, organized and experienced leader with excellent communication, negotiation, and superior time-managements skills. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of: how complex facilities operate; regulatory compliance; and budget management/planning. EdVenture Teen Program Internship

Designed to provide you with an opportunity to learn about the highest quality leadership in environmental education. Our EdVenture programs focus on exposing youth (ages 12-17) to the natural world. Therefore, your internship will assist you with educating and mentoring teens through the Zoo’s summer program in their projects, leadership skills, and conservation efforts.

First Responder

Guest Services Jobs

We are looking for highly dedicated individuals 21 years and older preferred to join the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo Guest Service team. Hours for these positions will range from 20-40 hours per week and will include weekends and holidays. Availability for evening events required.
We will be conducting interviews the first weekend in February for the following:

  • Admissions – We are looking for people who want to work in a fast paced guest oriented environment. Must have a great personality and be able to work with all kinds of people. Applicants must be flexible. Data entry skills are required. Applicants must be interested in building great guest experiences.
  • Shuttle Drivers – We are looking for outgoing personality for our shuttle service around the Zoo that will be comfortable talking to guests about the Zoo animals and exhibits.
  • Guest Services – We are looking for friendly and outgoing people to run a carousel, and sell giraffe feedings. Must be able to handle money and make change. Applicants must be interested in building great guest experiences.
  • Parking – We are looking for good communicators to direct traffic, assist guests, and keep our parking lots safe. Applicants must have a composed and outgoing personality. Must be able to handle chaotic situations with a good attitude. Applicants must be interested in building great guest experiences.
  • Sky Ride – We are looking for attentive, safety and detail oriented people to operate a chairlift ride. Applicants must be comfortable directing guests and checking machinery for safety. Must have positive verbal communication skills and a great personality. Applicants must be interested in building great guest experiences.
  • Shuttle Drivers – We are looking for outgoing personality for our shuttle service around the Zoo that will be comfortable talking to guests about the Zoo animals and exhibits.
