World Tapir Day Celebration

Monday, April 27 is World Tapir Day! Join us and celebrate tapirs during your visit to the Zoo! All you need to do is reserve your e-tickets in advance, and come to the tapir yard for scheduled events! This is an incredibly rare opportunity, since Mochi is one of only a few mountain tapir in human care in the United States and wild mountain tapirs are critically endangered.
Event schedule is: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Discover an educational booth about Tapirs, 10 a.m. Tapir Enrichment Demo (weather dependent), 1:30 p.m. Special Tapir Keeper Talk and a chance to meet Mochi (weather dependent). Advance tickets are required and can be purchased at cmzoo.org/tickets.
