Stroller Safari – Matilda in March

Ages 12 mos. – 4 years. Join us for this month’s Stroller Safari program, “‘Matilda’ in March.” Offered four different days/times. Registrants will participate in a wallaby-themed sensory activity, meet our wallaby ambassador “Matilda” and the rest of her marsupial mob members, and assist keepers with feeding one of our animal ambassadors from the Loft! Small Mammal Care 101

Adults and children ages 7+. Have you considered bringing a bunny or chinchilla into your home? Or maybe you are looking to learn more about hedgehogs or guinea pigs. If so, we offer a hands on and interactive class all about caring for small mammals. We will guide you in setting up habitats, learning about health care, and even guide you in deciding what kind of furry friend is best for your household. And of course there will be hands on opportunities with some of Cheyenne Mountain Zoo’s cutest small mammals. Register online now.

WildNight – Kids Only – Trunks, Tails and Tales

Ages 5+. Come learn about our African animals, more specifically we’ll focus on our elephant herd and see our two new elephants that brings our herd to 6 happy girls. We’ll see gorillas, a rhino, giraffe and more at night and we will even get to meet an African animal in the Loft up close! Let us do all the work, all you have to do is drop the kiddos off, we will have a pizza party, roast s’mores, and go for an evening tour, we’ll even get to meet an animal up close! We will even throw in a continental breakfast and a morning tour will complete your adventure. NOTE: Kids must be 5 years or older to participate. Register online now!

Run to the Shrine

Cheyenne Mountain Zoo invites all ages of world class runners and families alike to Run to the Shrine on Saturday, May 18, 2019. Run to the Shrine is a 4-mile run/walk course that curves through the Zoo, up to the Will Rogers Shrine of the Sun and back down into the Zoo. The run provides some of the most stunning views in the Pikes Peak region. The 4-mile race concludes with a party at Lodge at Moose Lake!

Teddy Bear Day

Saturday, August 17 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

Children ages 3 to 11 visiting the Zoo along with a teddy bear, their favorite stuffed animal or doll, will receive discounted admission of $9.75 (saving $10!). (Kids 2 and under are just 75¢, and Zoo members are always free.) Kids can stop by the Teddy Bear Clinic at the Lodge at Moose Lake for a free stuffed animal “check-up” and meet medical personnel in a “beary” fun environment. AAZK’s Art on the Hoof
