Annual Memorial Day Weekend Plant Sale

Saturday, May 25 @ 8:00 am - Monday, May 27 @ 5:00 pm

Saturday 8 a.m. – 5 pm, Sunday & Monday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Cheyenne Mountain Zoo – (Zoo admission is not required for entry.) Our plant sale offers many varieties of grasses, perennials, herbs and more! With plants ranging from perennial favorites to freshly picked additions, you’re sure to find a variety of plants to fit your application and location. All of the plants are Colorado grown. Pricing is competitive with garden outlets and all of the proceeds benefit Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. We hope you’ll stop by the Zoo’s greenest event of the year! (Note: Online and pre-ordering are not available this next year.)

WildNight – Kids Only Beasts and Bunk Overnight

Ages 5!. Where do the beasts bunk at night, do they make beds, sleep in the trees, sleep under the sand, or sleep standing up? Come find out what our animals do when the darkness of night falls. Let us do all the work, all you have to do is drop the kiddos off, we will have a pizza party, roast s’mores, and go for an evening tour, we’ll even get to meet an animal up close! Drop off is at 6pm and pick up is at 8am the following morning, hope to see you there.We will even throw in a continental breakfast and a morning tour will complete your adventure.

AAZK – Bowling for Rhinos Fundraiser

All ages. Join AAZK and Strike Out Extinction! Bowling for Rhinos is an annual fundraising event sponsored by the American Association of Zoo Keepers (AAZK), and our chapter at Cheyenne Mountain Zoo wants YOU to join us for a night of bowling, prizes, and fun! Member Enrichment Night

This is a Zoo members only event. Watch as select animals receive enrichment items at scheduled times throughout the evening. What’s ‘enrichment’? Enrichment is how we provide a stimulating environment for Zoo animals. Why? It gives them an opportunity to demonstrate species-typical behavior, exercise control and/or choice over their environment, and enhances their well-being! Reservations are not required.

Let us do all the work, all you have to do is drop the kiddos off, we will have a pizza party, roast s’mores, and go for an evening tour, we’ll even get to meet an animal up close! Drop off is at 6pm and pick up is at 8am the following morning, hope to see you there. We will even throw in a continental breakfast and a morning tour will complete your adventure.

Teddy Bear Day

Saturday, August 17 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

Children ages 3 to 11 visiting the Zoo along with a teddy bear, their favorite stuffed animal or doll, will receive discounted admission of $9.75 (saving $10!). (Kids 2 and under are just 75¢, and Zoo members are always free.) Kids can stop by the Teddy Bear Clinic at the Lodge at Moose Lake for a free stuffed animal “check-up” and meet medical personnel in a “beary” fun environment. Check out the special animal shows and happenings and come have a BEARiffic day at the Zoo!

AAZK’s Art on the Hoof
