BOO Animal Happenings

FRIDAYS:

5 p.m. – Elephant Pumpkin Enrichment (Inside Elephant Barn, Encounter Africa)
6:30 p.m. – African Lion Enrichment (Lion Relaxation Room, African Rift Valley)

SATURDAYS:

5 p.m. – Meerkat Enrichment (Meerkat yard, near lions, African Rift Valley)
6:30 p.m. – Hippo Keeper Talk & Feeding (Inside Hippo building, Water’s Edge: Africa)

TUESDAY, Oct. 31 – Halloween:

Activities Include:

  • Haunted House – ages 6 and up, strobe lights in use (Lodge at Moose Lake),
  • Spooky Graveyard(near Scutes Family Gallery),
  • Trick-or-treat at Spooky Treat Stations (throughout the Boo at the Zoo path),
  • Pirate’s Cove(Australia Walkabout),
  • Lighted Pumpkin Patch(My Big Backyard),
  • Photo Opportunities – If you’ve got it, haunt it! Perfect selfie spots are everywhere at Boo at the Zoo. See if you can find our special year-specific banners and tag your posts: #BOOCMZOO
  • Sky Ride – $3 at Sky Ride ticket booth (be in line by 7:30 p.m., last ride at 8 p.m.),
  • Giraffe and Budgie feeding experiences.

Costume Requirements

For the safety of all guests, costume masks and costume weapons may not be worn by guests 12 years of age or older. Masks worn by guests 11 years of age and younger must have openings that allow the eyes to be seen and that do not obstruct peripheral vision. Balloons are not allowed inside the Zoo (even as part of a costume) for the safety of our animals and wild animals.

Trick-or-treat bags

Tickets will be on sale closer to the event.

Refund Policy

– Online tickets can be refunded or exchanged up to two weeks prior to ticketed event date. (For example, tickets purchased for Oct. 21 can be refunded through Oct. 7 only.)
– Boo at the Zoo is an all-weather event; snow, rain or shine. No refunds or exchanges for inclement weather.

Military Discount for Boo

**Military discount is offered to all active duty, veteran and retired military personnel any day of the year. Bring any of the following to validate your discounted tickets purchased online for you, your spouse and your dependents living in the same household:
– A valid military / retired military ID
– A copy of your DD214
– Your state driver’s license printed with veteran indicator or military identifier
– Your ID issued by the VA, VFW or American Legion
– A military spouse ID, if the military member is not present
This discount cannot be combined with other offers. A valid military ID is required upon admission.

Senior Discount

***Senior discount – must bring a valid photo ID showing their age of 65+ to validate their discounted senior tickets at the gate. If proper ID is not provided, the remaining balance of a non-senior ticket will be charged at Admissions that day.

To Reserve Member Boo eTickets

MEMBERS PLEASE NOTE:
Memberships cannot be renewed during Boo at the Zoo events, so be sure your membership is active prior to your visit!
All named members will be required to show a valid photo ID at the gate to confirm eligibility for member discount.

To renew online now:
  • Visit our Membership page.
  • Sign-in (or register if you don’t have an online account) to apply your membership discount by using the orange SIGN-IN button at the top right of the buy tickets page.
  • Your member discount will appear in the final shopping cart, once your tickets have been chosen.

Tips while getting member Boo etickets:

  • Are you registered online, but forgot your member login / password?:
    Click the orange SIGN-IN button at the top right of the Boo Tickets shopping cart page, and choose the ‘forgot my password’ option. Enter the email you registered with, and you will receive a link to reset the password for login. Please be sure your password meets all listed criteria and allow 10 minutes after you have reset your password before logging in again. If you do not receive a reset email, you likely haven’t registered as a member. You can do that before reserving your tickets to receive your discount by registering HERE.
  • If you are locked out of your account, it will automatically unlock after 30 minutes.
  • If you cannot remember the email you registered with, please email [email protected], and we will be happy to send you that information.
  • Who qualifies for the member Boo etickets?
    Anyone who is listed on an activet membership can get fully discounted member tickets.
    — For an Individual Plus membership, the primary named card holder and his/her guest is included.
    — For a Family or Grandparent membership, the one or two named adults and any listed children are included.
    — For Family Plus/Grandparent Plus and higher, any “Plus” guests are included (x1 for Family Plus/Grandparent Plus, x2 for Conservator, and x3 for Zoo Patron
    and Patron Gold) along with the one or two named adult(s) and any listed
    children.
    — Named Third Adults can also purchase a discounted member ticket.
  • Additional guests who are not included on the membership must purchase a non-member Boo ticket.
