We rely on help from volunteers to plan and execute events year-round. Our Education and Marketing departments work together to staff several fun and engaging large-scale special events at the Zoo. In addition, smaller special events are coordinated by specific departments which are also seeking volunteers.

What you may do:

  • Help set up and/or clean up events.
  • Provide directions and information to guests during the event.
  • Help with execution of the event (i.e. could include manning water stations for Run to the Shrine, running candy to booths for Boo at the Zoo, helping children with crafts during Electric Safari, etc).
  • Other duties as assigned.

Costs & Requirements

There are no fees for special events volunteers, you are a one-time volunteer.
Simply sign-up and show-up the day/time of the event!
(It’s a great way to help the Zoo and get experience if you are interested in becoming an ongoing volunteer.)
