Welcome to America’s only mountain zoo! Named 4th-Best Zoo in North America by USAToday’s 10Best! Hand-feed giraffes and budgies, experience animals up-close, and witness a view like no other! We’re open 365 days a year, so whether you’re planning your first Colorado Springs vacation or returning to experience more of Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, we’re happy to have you!

  • Undrivable guest vehicles in the main parking lot are dwindling from nearly 400 immediately after the storm on Monday down to less than 40. Vehicles have been towed to one corner of the south parking lot, which will allow us to finish removing broken glass and other debris from the pavement in preparation for guests on Saturday. The remaining vehicles will be allowed to stay at the Zoo until 8 a.m. on Tuesday. If they are still unclaimed, they will be towed to a monitored facility at the owner’s expense.
  • The Will Rogers Shrine will be closed on Friday, August 17, 2018 to set-up an internal event.
  • The Sky Ride will be closed the 2nd and 3rd Tuesday of every month for routine preventative maintenance.
  • Aquatics is currently closed to build all-new homes for hippos, penguins, lemurs, and an EdVenture Complex! Anticipated to open in Summer 2019. Watch the progress, get details and ways to help by donating to Making Waves HERE.
